Bedding industry enjoys ‘solid’ month in October, retail survey says

The bedding industry enjoyed a “solid” month in October, a new retail survey says. Piper Jaffray’s October Mattress Retailer Survey, which presents retail views from around the country, showed total dollar sales growth in October of a mean of 7.6%, an improvement over September’s mean growth of 6.6% and August’s mean growth of 6.1%.

Piper Jaffray said the October results show “positive momentum continuing into Q4.” The firm said it sees the recent sales numbers as “evidence of an improving industry backdrop” in the second half of the year.
